紀錄片內容:民國44年6月24日國術比賽大會。第1屆中國國術比賽大會，下午8時在三軍球場開幕，由國防會議秘書長周至柔主持，行政院院長俞鴻鈞到場參觀，台上表演單人舞刀、器械對打、摔角、氣功胸口碎大石等。

陳泮嶺適逢甲大學的創辦人，1949年來台後居住台中農場。1950 年成立中華國術進修會(中華民國國術總會前身)，之後在台中農場創立九九健身會。陳泮嶺卅九年元月來臺後。夏，在臺灣國術界人士，群起邀請，主持國術。本想恢復中央國術館，因當時為建制所限，取銷一般機構，所以未能成立。於是邀集鈕院永建、于院長右任、白崇禧將軍，李委員宗黃、及立委、監委、國大代表，以及社會熱心國術名流專家百餘人，發起組織中國國術進修會，於是年十一月十四日成立，人民情緒熱烈空前。

　　在日據時代，日人認為國術含有高度的民族意識，故予禁止。但人民於國術興趣仍然濃厚，雖不敢公然提倡，卻以舞獅龍燈等掩護，仍在積極練習。至中華國術進修會成立，全省國術界歡喜若狂，原有的國術團體，紛紛恢復活動，各縣市國術分會相繼成立，私人之國術館更不知其數，並在各處公開演出。

四十年，在臺中市舉行中部比賽大會，參加人數很多，觀眾情緒，興奮熱烈。四十四年，在臺北三軍球場，舉行全省國術比賽大會，連續三天，觀眾如潮。四十六年，舉行臺港澳地區國術比賽大會，連續三日，盛況空前。主持籌備，並任裁判長，在臺中舉行者，則完全由我主持。從四十六年起，國術項目，即列入省運中。歷年省運會之國術，擔任裁判長。對於國術理論，曾發表多次意見及文字，頗受各方重視。

中華國術，吸引國際上之注意。日、韓、泰、越等國，都極力提倡。西方國家，也由僑胞及在外國留學生，撒播國術的種子。美國更派專人來臺考察國術，並實地研究學習。中華國術之於運動與技術方面，已受到全世界的重視。

陳泮嶺1950年，成立中華國術進修會後，積極主導國術動，除國術進修會成立在台成立外，台北市國術會、台灣省國術會均在隔年1951年成立，此外1955年由總統府戰略顧問胡偉克將軍領導成立「中華全國體育協進會技擊委員會」由胡偉克擔任主任委員，聘請師大教授李文元擔任總幹事，組織包含國術部，由「中華國術進修會」理事長擔任國術部主任，該會成立之目的在於承辦與統合國術組織。其中以1955年所舉辦的「中國國術比賽」，最為後人所津津樂道，以下就「中國國術比賽」做介紹。1955年6月24-26日，在臺北市三軍球場舉行的「中國國術比賽」，是台灣第一次舉辦的國術比賽，比賽分為太極揉手組、摔角組、長短兵器組、拳術(徒手)組等四組，大會會長為周至柔將軍，名譽會長為副總統兼光復大陸設計委員會主任委員陳誠，名譽副會長有王寵惠、何應欽、俞鴻鈞、吳忠信、張道藩、莫德惠、張厲生、閻錫山、蔣經國等人擔任，副會長有張其昀、丘念台、王成章、陳泮嶺、鄭曼青、丘斌存等人。其原始簽呈文件收藏在國史館。

籌備過程

「台灣光復初期之國術組織有中華國術進修會、台灣省國術會、時中拳社、國立台灣大學國術會、陽明山國術會等等。民國43年11月28日發起籌備會，籌備委員有吳大朝、劉添發、吳體胖、葉峻、丘斌存、龔爾康、張峻峰、張詳三、李國民、顧忠年、劉木森、韓慶堂、陳禮鋆、黃生發、周慶順、吳敘寬、張興義等人為籌備委員，並由王成章擔任主任委員，丘存斌為副主任委員，張詳三、韓慶堂、葉峻、吳體胖、吳大朝、劉添發、黃性賢、顧忠年、章寶森、周慶順、劉木森、李國民等十四位擔任比賽規則之起草委員，丘存斌擔任起草組織章程之工作。」

根據1955年的《中國國術比賽大會特刊》記載，國術比賽有三個意義，一、為響應國家元首號召，發揚我國國術。二、為促進國民體育，增強國民健康。三、為促進國民外交，加強反攻力量。其三個目的為，一、普及國民體育，促進國民健康。二、發揚民族尚武精神；增強反攻抗俄動員力量。三、促進國民外交，提高中華國際地位。

「中國國術比賽」的比賽項目，分為拳術、摔角、器械(長短兵器)及太極揉手四組，這些項目又分為表演組與比賽組兩種，分類如下：

表演組

拳術及器械團體表演。

拳術單練及對打表演。

器械單練及對施表演。

摔角單式及對施表演。

太極揉手定步及活步表演。

特種技術表演。

參賽人數分別為拳術93人，摔角30人，兵器38人，參加表演者有150人，取前三名給獎，各組冠軍產生後，再進行交叉比賽，其中拳術比賽不分量級，將對手擊倒或擊出擂台為勝，長短兵器以擊點多寡為勝，拳術組由中央國術館老將張英建獲勝，太極組由黃性賢獲勝，摔角組由精通柔道，與國術之高手陳戊寅獲勝，三人交叉比賽，最後由張英健獲得總冠軍，亞軍黃性賢，季軍陳戊寅，詳細成績如下表：。
